Business 35: Value Store

Business 35 of my Great Business Tour is Value Store in Swansea. I met the delightful owner, Paul Davies and we spoke about business rates and the importance of keeping them low. I visited Value Store with the Conservative Candidate for Gower, Byron Davies.

Business 36: David Richards- Butchers

Business 36 of my Great Business Tour is David Richards- Butchers in Swansea. David Richards- Butchers is one of the oldest butchers in Wales, specialising in their own cooked meats. It was great to visit this business with Byron Davies, PPC for Gower and to hear how important small business rate relief is for them.

Business 37: Clean Sweep

Business 37 of my Great Business Tour is Clean Sweep in Swansea. Formed as a domestic cleaning company in 2006, Clean Sweep is a family run business covering Swansea and the surrounding areas.  Together with Byron Davies, I was met by the brilliant Managing Director, Helen Williams.

Business 38: Noake’s Bakery

Business 38 of my Great Business Tour is Noake’s Bakery in Pontarddulais. I visited with Byron Davies, the Conservative candidate for Gower and a great advocate for the local area. Thank you for hosting such a delicious lunch.

Business 39: TVT

Business 39 of my Great Business Tour is TVT in Chiswick. Established in 1994, TVT is a leading independent digital media lab providing and delivering content and systems for the world’s principal broadcasters. Together with Mary Macleod, I was met by the brilliant Cherry Cole. We talked about creative tech skills and I saw for myself live Japanese news translations.

Business 40: Bianca Marton

Business 40 of my Great Business Tour is Bianca Marton in Brentford. Bianca Marton is a new chocolate maker in Brentford who produces beautifully handcrafted dairy free artisan chocolate truffles. It was great to see the entrepreneurial spirit is flourishing in Brentford and Isleworth. I visited with Mary Macleod.

Business 41: Octink

Business 41 of my Great Business Tour is Octink in Brentford. Octink is one of the UK’s leading producers of display graphics and signange. It delivers creative display solutions to connect people with brands, anywhere and at any time. I was given a tour with Mary Macleod, a great advocate for the local area who told me in no uncertain terms that we must not abandon the long-term economic plan.

Business 42: Sipsmith

Business 42 of my Great Business Tour is Sipsmith in Chiswick. Sipsmith is London’s first copper distillery in nearly 200 years that brings the art and craft of traditional gin distillation back to the city. I visited with the superb local champion, PPC for Brentford and Isleworth and we were given a fascinating presentation on how Sipsmith produce their award-winning gin.

Business 43: CJ’S Sandwich Bar and Café

Business 43 of my Great Business Tour is CJ’s Sandwich Bar and Café in Lakenheath. I learned how to make a Latte with the brilliant Louise Marston and launched my campaign.  

Business 44: Smart Pension UK

Business 44 of my Great Business Tour is Smart Pension UK in Hammersmith. Smart Pension is a fast and secure auto enrolment workplace pensions platform designed specifically for UK business. I visited with the brilliant Charlie Dewhirst, the Conservative Candidate for Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush, to see how they help small businesses start employee pensions.
